New Basketball Gambling Game Comes To Tropicana Atlantic City

[toc]Video game gambling machines have been making their way into Atlantic City casinos, slowly but surely.

The newest VGM — based on basketball — is now tipping off.

Nothin’ but Net in AC

Atlantic City Weekly reported that the newest offering from VGM maker GameCo will be at the Tropicana.

The VGM — Nothin’ but Net — is a game where players take to the virtual basketball court. Players get 16 chances to hit shots, with bonus and money balls in play.

The game is relatively simple, as players must simply hit a single button at the right time to make the shot. The more shots made, the bigger the payout.

Players can wager from $2 to $20 on the game.

Not all good news for VGMs in AC

GameCo’s earliest offerings — including Danger Arena and Pharaoh’s Secret Temple — appeared at Harrah’s, Caesars AC and Bally’s. But that is no longer the case. More from AC Weekly:

Caesars Atlantic City, the Wild Wild West casino at Bally’s Atlantic City and Harrah’s, where the machines were first introduced, have removed the machines.

Those games are more complicated than Nothin’ But Net, with a controller that might have been a little too intimidating for the AC set. That leaves Tropicana as the only place with VGMs, for now.

But more VGMs are on the way

It seems likely you will see more VGM offerings at Tropicana, and perhaps at other AC casinos, soon:

While VGMs might not be spreading like wildfire, yet, you’re like to see more of them in the future.
