NJ online casino BetMGM lists 42 new games today. No. 1 among the “Hottest New Releases” on BetMGM Casino NJ is Armadillo Arty Gone Wild, a title from casino game developer Design Works Gaming (DWG).
Light & Wonder (LNW), a gambling products and services company, supplies BetMGM Casino, Borgata Casino, and Party Casino players in New Jersey with online slots and other casino games through the LNW OpenGaming platform.
DWG’s games come to BetMGM by way of OpenGaming. That’s also true of many other recent additions, including the No. 3 hottest game, Carnival Cow Coin Combo. Made in-house by LNW, it only came to New Jersey last week, according to the company.
DWG announced its multi-state partnership with BetMGM on Aug 24. New Jersey online casino players are seeing the games first, with subsequent launches coming to other states soon.
Separately, DWG notes that it has licenses in Connecticut, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. BetMGM Casino operates in Michigan and Pennsylvania but not Connecticut. BetMGM Casino is also available in West Virginia, though DWG hasn’t yet received a license, so it may take longer for its games to appear there.

Armadillo Arty: an Easy Option for Slots Newcomers
On BetMGM Casino NJ today, DWG’s titles in the “Hottest New Releases” appear alongside the latest offerings from more established studios like Ainsworth, High 5, and NetEnt.
Even against that competition, BetMGM has given Armadillo Arty Gone Wild the pole position, expecting it to be a hit with players.
One reason may be that DWG slots feature more straightforward mechanics than those from other developers like Play’n Go and High 5. BetMGM may be assuming that newcomers who are unsure of what to play are most likely to start with the top suggestions and wants to make sure they find something easy to understand.
Armadillo Arty Gone Wild has a generous 40 pay lines, so most combos you expect might pay will do so. However, it has relatively few symbols, and the reels have blank spaces. That makes for an uncluttered feel, and it’s easy to see which combos resulted in a payout.
Notably absent are the Scatter symbols that now feature in most online slots. There’s no bonus game in Armadillo Arty. It does, however, have one memorable feature: Flipping Wilds. In between the reels, vertical gold hinges appear. When one lines up with an adjacent Wild, the Wild symbol will “flip” over onto the opposite reel, duplicating itself. It’s unique yet makes perfect sense the first time you see it happen.
Other DWG games that NJGamblingSites was able to find at BetMGM NJ today include:
- Golden Grand
- Wealthy Pig
- Wonders of Africa
- Break the Bounty LuckyTap
- Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap
- Test Your Strength LuckyTap
Those LuckyTap games are even simpler than DWG’s slots. They are exactly what they sound like: With one button tap, gamblers either get lucky and win a prize or don’t.
Other NJ Online Casinos Featuring DWG Slots
DWG games are new to BetMGM Casino NJ, but not to the Garden State. The online casino game developer says its creations first went live in New Jersey in December 2021. That partner was Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG), which Boston-based DraftKings acquired in May.
Last month, DWG announced its games were live at DraftKings Casino. That includes one DWG game you won’t currently find anywhere else, Panda Queen.
