You Can Actually Bet On the KSI Logan Paul Fight At Legal NJ Sportsbooks

Becoming a popular YouTube personality can lead to many other opportunities. A great example of this is Saturday’s KSI vs. Logan Paul fight.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this from a social phenomenon point of view, however, is that it’s a part of New Jersey legal sports betting.

You read that correctly. New Jersey’s legal sportsbooks have action on a fight that was born out of an internet sensation.

How the Logan Paul KSI rematch was born

These two YouTube sensations went six rounds last June in their first official bout.

Who won the first Logan Paul fight? That fight, hosted in KSI’s native United Kingdom, saw the two viral entertainers fight to a majority draw.

That event was available via pay-per-view on YouTube, where the subscriber counts of both men surpass 40 million.

Because of that popularity, the rematch on Paul’s home turf is on.

DAZN will provide a broadcast of the bout in the United States. Matchroom Boxing managing director Eddie Hearn is promoting the event.

The Staples Center is the site of the fight on Saturday. The fight is billed as a cruiserweight bout with 10-oz. gloves and no headgear. It will go six rounds.

While boxing fans should expect an exciting contest, there is more reason than that to look forward to this event. As previously mentioned, many interested in legal sports betting in New Jersey are looking forward to the event as well.

KSI Logan Paul odds at NJ sportsbooks

UK books expect a tight contest, listing both fighters as 5-6 co-favorites. New Jersey sportsbooks are a little more adventurous.

Paul is the favorite at most New Jersey sportsbooks in a traditional moneyline or moneyline three-way bet.

While not every sportsbook has odds on the board for the KSI-Logan Paul fight, a good number of them do. Here’s a look at the moneyline odds for Friday night’s match from a few apps:

Sportsbook KSI Logan Paul Draw
DraftKings +163 -200 +900
FanDuel +146 -180 No line
BetMGM +150 -162 +1000
PointsBet +180 -182 +1100
SugarHouse +163 -200 +900
Bet365 +150 -188 No line

FanDuel currently offers the most different ways to bet on the bout. Among those odds are +160 on the fight going the distance and a +600 prop bet on KSI knocking Paul down and winning.

Most non-moneyline action revolves around the method of victory. SugarHouse Sportsbook offers odds of +400 on KSI winning by points and +375 on Paul doing the same.

Although the fight is happening in California, the Garden State is where the action is for bettors. New Jersey is unique in its offerings among other states and this is another example of that.

New Jersey betting and the Logan Paul KSI fight

While hardcore boxing fans might see the fact that this fight between two men they would likely consider amateurs as an affront to the sport, New Jersey online gambling hasn’t hesitated whatsoever.

The sportsbooks are in the business of making money, not adjudicating the ceremonious purity of boxing.

This is the same state that offered legal betting on other entertainment options such as the Emmy awards and the Oscars. Because this fight is sanctioned, it should be no surprise to New Jerseyans that legal action is available on it.

If the fight lives up to its billing and New Jersey sportsbooks see a lot of action on the contest, it’s proof that other states should follow their lead. It’s also proof that in 2019 being an internet celebrity can lead to almost anything.
