[toc]An outdoor beer garden just off the Atlantic City Boardwalk? It could be a reality in the near future.
The Bungalow Biergarten in AC
First reported by the Press of Atlantic City, a developer is hoping to build a beer garden between South California and South Iowa avenues. That’s very close to the Boardwalk.
The venue — the brainchild of Dectrinity LLC — would be called “Bungalow Biergarten.”

The project would include seating for 322 guests, an outdoor kitchen area and two bars.
If approved, the project would also feature three propane fire pits and a game area…
The beer garden would be near the Tropicana.
Beer garden project needs approval
The project needs to be approved by the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. Dectrinity will make its case at a May 16 meeting of the CRDA.
You can see the application and accompanying paperwork at the CRDA website. Lawyers for the company submitted paperwork and the associated fees early in April.
It’s not clear how quickly the beer garden would be and running if it wins quick approval.

Latest potential investment in AC
A deal to put a water-park resort at the former Atlantic Club is off, for now. But things have generally been on the upswing as far as investment in the city:
- Hard Rock AC bought the shuttered Trump Taj Mahal.
- The Polercoaster and an observation wheel are on the way.
- The owner of the resurgent Showboat is putting on a summer-long ‘Fan Expo’ and also bought other property around the resort.
Meanwhile, TEN AC still on hold with CRDA
Even as one project tries to win CRDA approval, a much larger one remains in limbo.
TEN AC is supposed to open in a month and a half, on June 15th. Based on other opening dates that have come and gone, that seems unlikely.
Owner Glenn Straub must still get approval from the CRDA with plans that we don’t if he has submitted yet.
