WSOP.com NJ Online Championships Guarantee $250,000 This Summer

The WSOP.com Online Championships will offer New Jersey players daily opportunities for increased prize pools in a variety of games and formats from June 10 through July 10. In all, a quarter of a million dollars will be guaranteed over 93 tournaments.

Tournaments to suit every bankroll

With buy-ins ranging from $5 to $500 and multiple tournaments offered daily, just about any tournament player can take part in the WSOP.com Online Championships.

There is an impressive roster of events to choose from. Games and formats include pot-limit Omaha, 6-max, turbos, deep stacks and multiple freezeouts, in addition to many rebuy/add-on and re-entry tourneys.

A small sampling of the upcoming tournaments include:

  • The $250 Guaranteed Online Championships Event #28 [$5 + $5 Knockout] on June 19.
  • The $3,500 Guaranteed PLO Online Championships Event #47 with a buy-in of $100 on June 25.
  • The $20,000 Guaranteed Online Championships Event #88 [High Roller, Re-entry] with a $500 buy-in on July 9.

The leaderboard for the WSOP online events

The Online Championships will have a leaderboard tracking the overall performance of players competing in these tournaments. The player finishing at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the Online Championships will win the WSOP.com Online Championships ring.

Prizes are non-transferable and the ring prize is not exchangeable for cash or other compensation — including but not limited to tournament tickets and FPP’s. The estimated retail value of the ring is $1,000.

Are the WSOP.com Online Championships worth playing?

Due to the increased prize pools and wide range of available buy ins and tournament formats, the series is a good potential opportunity for multi-table tournament grinders at all levels.

With the increased popularity of poker variants such as PLO and formats such as knockout tournaments, WSOP.com NJ has been responding to players looking to expand their horizons beyond online no-limit hold’em.

While prize pools aren’t quite as rich as the recent Pokerstars New Jersey version of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), there are more tournaments and formats available. That could make the WSOP series more appealing to players already familiar with these different formats or just looking to try them out.

The WSOP.com Online Championships will also go for a month, offering multiple opportunities to play on a daily basis and give players the chance to earn that coveted championship ring.
