NBA Finals Game 4 Odds: Warriors Try To Even Series

Here is how the odds stack up for Friday night’s game in Boston.

The Celtics are out-rebounding the Warriors, have more assists, blocks, and points off turnovers. Boston is beating Golden State at its own game — shooting 43.4% from beyond the three-point line, as opposed to 40.2 for the Dubs. Coupled with a more efficient offense and a smothering defense that seems to contend every possession, the Celtics have emerged as a clearly superior team in the NBA’s biggest spectacle.

While Draymond Green works on costing his team another NBA title and gets into a verbal spat with an old man, the Warriors are being exposed as a team that relies too much on finesse and beyond-the-arc shooting. The Dubs are simply not tough enough to manage Boston’s interior players, and Golden State’s tumultuous dynasty seems to be ready to exit the stage with all the grave of Will Smith at the Oscars.

The Warriors will go onto the court with an injured and humbled Steph Curry, who is hobbled by a bum ankle. Curry insists he’ll play Game 4, but with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown already outplaying him when he was healthy, a slowed Curry will likely be far from effective enough.

The Warriors will need to get inspired play from Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson, who combined are shooting 31.8 percent from three-point range in the series. The C’s are holding Jordan Poole six points under his season scoring average.

Betting Recommendation

The Celtics to win the NBA Finals 4-1 is now listed at +280 at FanDuel. It’s a bet worth looking at as Boston surges past the Warriors in every phase of the game.
